My expertise is the Construction industry with a focus on Materials Science.
I am a Doctor of Civil Engineering with an MBA in Civil Construction, a specialization in Project Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning. Back in Brazil, I worked as a Professional Architect for 8 years, designing and coordinating residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Now an Assistant Teaching Professor at University of Washington Tacoma (UWT), I am a passionate advocate for sustainable building practices. My research centers on innovative materials solutions for the built environment, including pervious concrete for stormwater management and the use of natural and waste-derived pozzolans as supplementary cementitious materials. A LEED Green Associate, I bridge the gap between architectural design, construction management, and materials science to shape a more resilient and environmentally responsible future for the construction industry.
